Graveyard Keeper 2 Orders, Jack, and Supply: Iron

Accept Supply: Iron from the warehouse order board on the sun-symbol day, craft the requested crates, and place them on the tarp-covered crate pile in the warehouse basement. Deposit the full amount before the collection day, then use the board on the next sun-symbol day. A launch-build report says crates delivered on collection day may wait until the following cycle.

How the warehouse order loop works

Player reports separate three things that are easy to confuse: Jack is the character tied to the warehouse progression, the order board is where an order is selected and later checked, and the tarp-covered pile in the basement is the reported hand-in point. Talking to Jack does not replace using the board or delivery pile.

Jack

Use his dialogue for warehouse or town progression, but do not expect conversation alone to register carried crates.

Order board

Check it on the reported sun-symbol day to select an order, read its counter, and later resolve the collection cycle.

Warehouse basement

Take completed supply crates to the interactable tarp-covered pile rather than placing them in ordinary storage.

Collection timing

Deposit before collection day when possible. A same-day delivery may remain pending until the next cycle.

Supply: Iron checklist

  1. Visit the warehouse on the sun-symbol day. Release-build players report that this is when a new warehouse order can be selected.
  2. Accept Supply: Iron at the board. Read the active counter before crafting so you know how many supply crates the order expects.
  3. Make the iron supply crates. If raw iron is your blocker, use the separate iron location guide; for the packing recipe, use the Assembly Bench recipe checklist. This page covers the order hand-in.
  4. Distinguish the ingredient from the delivery item. An opened mine or loose iron does not itself complete Supply: Iron. Check the live order and crafting UI for the required crate recipe and quantity; the cited threads do not verify a universal material bill.
  5. Carry each crate downstairs. In the warehouse basement, use the specific pile of crates covered by a tarp. A general storage box does not count.
  6. Verify that the board shows the full amount. This confirms that you used the reported delivery point rather than ordinary warehouse storage.
  7. Return on the next sun-symbol day. Interact with the board to finish the collection cycle and claim the result.

Why the order does not update

Wrong container

Move the crate to the basement's interactable tarp-covered delivery pile. Merely storing it in the warehouse is not the reported hand-in method.

Delivered on collection day

If you place the crates on the sun-symbol day itself, a launch-build report says the order may not resolve until the next weekly collection. Deposit before the collection day when possible.

Waiting for collection

A full delivery counter is not always the final state. Check the board again on the following sun-symbol day.

Check prerequisite town tasks

If the shipment has resolved but Jack's related dialogue remains locked, review active town objectives—including required combat or district progress—before classifying it as an order bug.

What to check in your game: The delivery point, weekday cycle, and reported registration problems come from launch-build Steam discussions, not a developer-authored order manual. UI wording and timing may change in patches.
Platform-specific support status — October 13 recheck: tinyBuild still groups the Town Warehouse iron-delivery blocker among fixes addressed in 1.007 across most platforms but still present on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 pending that patch. The October 7 historical check recorded a separate PS5/Xbox save-fix statement and PS4 save patch in progress. That paragraph has since been removed; removal does not confirm a PS4 patch release or revoke the historical PS5/Xbox announcement. This does not confirm both Switch builds have received 1.007, or that every existing save is fixed. Check your platform and installed build; the 1.007 PC changelog is not a universal save-recovery guarantee. Read the exact official Known Issues article ↗.

PC 1.007–1.008: which order problem are you seeing?

Patch sources: September 28 and October 2, 2026; reviewed October 4. 1.007 says iron supply delivery quests getting stuck were fixed and Jack now receives the tools he asks for. 1.008 reduces delivery requirements (fewer crates), increases delivery likes, and increases the Happy Supplier bonus. It does not publish replacement crate counts or reward values. Use the active order counter, not a pre-patch quantity.

  • Crates are not registering: use the basement delivery pile and collection-cycle checks above. Compare your installed build with PC 1.007; the official Known Issues list, checked October 13, 2026, still groups stuck iron deliveries among 1.007 fixes pending on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The separate PS4 save-patch paragraph is now absent, without new release confirmation. PC patch notes are not a guarantee for every console or existing save.
  • Delivery resolved, but Jack is still locked: use the separate Back in Business battle checks below. The reported main-gates battle is not the sewer or eastern-town battle; completing it does not hand in crates.
  • The reward or quantity changed: check the live order display. The patch calls delivery rewards “likes” and separately names Town Gratitude for battle rewards; do not infer a one-to-one conversion or a change to the Gratitude cap.

Jack missing near the boat: a separate official known issue

Official support list checked October 13, 2026. The tinyBuild Known Issues article says NPC Jack is missing from the Twins' land near the boat. It gives no guaranteed workaround. This is not every failed iron delivery: the order board, basement delivery pile, and Jack dialogue are separate interactions. Do not treat an ordinary warehouse-location mistake or the Back in Business battle report as this same confirmed issue.

The article has no verifiable publication date; the date above records our check, not an official publication or patch-release date.

Jack's Back in Business stuck after town battles?

A player report from September 23 identifies a separate battle north of the nun's house, where you first entered, rather than the sewer or eastern-town fights. A September 24 follow-up says the main gates battle was the missing step: after completing it, Jack got his shop back and progression resumed. Inspect the sword marker there instead of assuming it only marks the barracks.

Another player reply says these battles are on Sloth days (blue moon), with sewers separately available. Check your live map and quest prompt for availability. This is a reported quest route, not a guarantee for every save. Keep this combat prerequisite separate from Supply: Iron delivery: clearing the battle does not deposit crates, and a full delivery counter does not prove that Jack's battle objective is complete.

Supply: Iron FAQ

1.010 order slots, Pride and urgent deliveries

The official Steam 1.010 notes say order slots can rise to five depending on villagers. Do not apply an old two-slot limit to every save. The official patch does not specify the unlock thresholds. A community orders reference instead lists Town-quality thresholds; those are not independently verified villager-count requirements.

The same community reference, reviewed October 17, names Pride as the order-acceptance day, with a first-board-visit exception. It describes delivery crates in the Town Warehouse and Warehouse Cellar, supplied by the Keeper or a porter zombie; this means designated delivery crates, not arbitrary storage. It says urgent orders need the entire amount present at once, whereas regular orders take boxes as they arrive, and leftovers in those delivery crates are sold at base price at the start of Pride. These database rules add context to the launch reports above, not a guaranteed cure for a stuck counter. Check order type and the live counter before adding more boxes. See the calendar and Pride rollover checks.

Supply Station is not a Supply: Iron crate

The community buildings catalogue distinguishes the factory Supply Station from the Zombie Supplier Station; neither name is the order item Supply: Iron. For worker supply and logistics, use the supplier and porter guide or factory connection checks, rather than delivering a building or loose iron.

Jack 70 is not a delivery counter: the historical reputation route below identifies the named quest steps. Its current-patch completeness is not independently verified; no fixed order count or guaranteed shortcut is established.

Where do Supply: Iron crates go?

Players identify the interactable pile of crates covered by a tarp in the warehouse basement. Ordinary storage does not count.

Why is Supply: Iron still not complete?

Deposit the full order before the collection day, then return on the next sun-symbol day and use the board. Delivery on collection day may wait until the following cycle.

Does talking to Jack deliver the crates?

No. Player reports use the basement delivery pile and the order board; Jack dialogue alone is not the delivery interface.

Jack 70: follow the reputation quests, not a fixed number of orders

The historical Jack record calls 70 his reputation, not an order count or a warehouse delivery percentage. In the extracted Jack quest line, Man of Steel takes him from 60 to 70 and opens Steel Smithing. The record is from build GraveyardKeeper2-4599483364566526977; it is not a current-patch independent walkthrough.

  1. Reach 20 — Jack in a Boat: give Jack 5 Wooden Planks and 5 Bronze Details, and ask the twins to row after village reputation reaches 10. The record awards 10 reputation for the planks and another 10 when the tools/rowers are ready; the latter two parts can be done in either order.
  2. Reach 30 — Docked and Found: after the first battle, walk onto the bridge toward the port to trigger Jack's conversation and the bridge lowering.
  3. Reach 40 — Workshop Hours: accept his Supply: Iron order at the warehouse board, deliver the requested crate to the designated pallet, let the Pride collection resolve, and tell Jack. Check the live requested amount; launch and later patch quantities differ. This step opens the Circular Saw in the historical record, not Steel Smithing.
  4. Reach 50 — Jack's Back in Business: the database names the Market Square battle, then entering Jack's workshop. The separate launch-player battle directions above do not establish that every battle name or map label matches this record; follow your active objective.
  5. Reach 60 — Give materials: hand in 5 Building Kit I + 5 Wooden Kit I, in either order, to restore his workshop. Merely completing a repeatable supply order is not the listed replacement for this step.
  6. After the election — Front-of-the-Envelope Calculation: at reputation 60, Jack discusses the Royal Foundry. The record points to a flooded water tunnel and Herbert's next battle to drain the ship lock; it does not supply every election prerequisite or battle coordinate. Use the Foundry route and Bishop purchase checks.
  7. Reach 70 — Man of Steel: ask the Bishop at the Foundry about Steel, buy 3 Steel Ingots, and bring them to Jack. The record assigns +10 reputation and 3 Town Gratitude, then opens Steel Smithing. Check the node in your own technology tree.

At 70 but Steel still missing? Check that Man of Steel has completed and that you are looking for the technology rather than assuming it has already been purchased. If the Foundry or calculation dialogue is missing, compare the election and ship-lock objectives above. If Jack himself is absent, use the separate known-issue check; extra crates do not establish a workaround.

This is a historical database-attributed sequence, not verified current-platform completion. Exact election prerequisites, battle-name equivalence, patch mapping, and a reproducible route for every save remain unverified. Factory Tour is the later 80-reputation step, not a prerequisite to the 70 step in this record.

Reading the order icons: community-reported rules

A single community guide, updated October 9, describes a clock icon as a six-day delivery deadline, a golden arrow as repeatable next week, and a steel-colored arrow as a cooldown for the week after delivery. Treat these as a dated guide's interpretation, not a universal guarantee: use the live order display for your actual deadline, requested quantity, and repeat availability.

The same guide says supply boxes must be carried by hand rather than put in the backpack, and describes delivery to the town warehouse basement. It warns that delivery without the matching order yields little reward. Check the active order before automatically producing or sending packages; distinguish the package from the factory Supply Station and the ordinary Zombie Supplier Station.

Old layouts can have obsolete quantities. One post after update 1.008 reported ten items per week, while the October 9 guide says an update increased gratitude and reduced required quantities. Those authors use different earlier baselines; do not combine them into a universal increase or decrease. Match the live order, not an old factory screenshot.

A separate October 11 urgent-order bug report says urgent and non-urgent counters did not advance together. This is a single report, not an established rule or guaranteed fix. If one counter moves and the other stays still, compare the exact requested goods and order type, record the patch and both counters, and check the live display before delivering more.

For a different order currency, see Keys for Looters, Davy and the Love Novel. Jack’s Back in Business battle blocker and an uncollected supply shipment are separate checks.
