Home cooking → factory production

Graveyard Keeper 2 Cooking Guide

Start by repairing the kitchen furniture in the Home: the Kitchen Table takes 2 Wooden Plank; the Kitchen Oven takes 2 Piece of stone. Both repairs list Building mastery 3. Then unlock the dish technology and meet its Farming mastery requirement. The table prepares ingredients and snacks; the oven finishes started recipes automatically using Fuel. Factory Kitchen I is a different station for zombie conveyor production.

CHECKED: OCTOBER 17, 2026EVIDENCE: COMMUNITY DATABASE

Scope: selected recipes and station records from Wikily, checked October 17. These are community database findings, not official recipe documentation or independently game-tested instructions. Match your save's recipe and perk preview; no all-platform or specific patch compatibility is claimed.

Unlock home cooking in the right order

  1. Repair the Broken Kitchen Table. The Kitchen Table record lists 2 Wooden Plank and Building 3. The repair gives you the basic workbench, not every recipe.
  2. Repair the Broken Oven. The Kitchen Oven record lists 2 Piece of stone and Building 3. Start at this repair if the oven is still broken rather than searching for a factory kitchen blueprint.
  3. Buy the matching food technology. First snacks covers Berry smoothie; First dishes covers Baked apple and Baked mushrooms; Bread unlocks Dough and Bread.
  4. Prepare inputs at the table. The listed Dough recipe uses 6 Flour + 2 Water for 6 Dough, with Farming mastery 2. The oven needs Dough, not Flour directly, for Bread.
  5. Provide Fuel and start the oven recipe. The oven then runs on its own. Its record says a Firewood shed converts 2 Firewood into 20 Fuel. Firewood and the station's Fuel resource are not interchangeable recipe labels.

Six useful Kitchen Oven recipes

These are selected Kitchen Oven recipes, not the full catalogue. Fuel values below are the base costs before Heat Saver. Outputs distinguish the base amount from the named Cook perk bonus; the mastery number is Farming, not Building.

Baked apple

Inputs: 5 Apple + 10 Fuel

Output: 5; 7 with Cook

Unlock: First dishes · Farming mastery 2

Baked mushrooms

Inputs: 5 Brown Mushroom + 10 Fuel

Output: 3; 5 with Cook

Unlock: First dishes · Farming mastery 2

Bread

Inputs: 4 Dough + 10 Fuel

Output: 4; 6 with Cook

Unlock: Bread · Farming mastery 2

Baked fish

Inputs: 2 River fish fillet + 15 Fuel

Output: 3; 5 with Cook II

Unlock: River fish dishes · Farming mastery 4

Baked meat

Inputs: 1 Flesh + 1 Salt + 15 Fuel

Output: 2; 3 with Cook II

Unlock: Oh no! · Farming mastery 4

Fisherman's pie

Inputs: 2 Mysterious fish fillet + 2 Frog + 20 Fuel

Output: 1; 2 with Cook II

Unlock: Mysterious fish dishes · Farming mastery 6

Pumpkin grade also matters: the oven record lists 2 bronze, silver or gold Pumpkin + 10 Fuel producing 2, 4 or 7 Baked pumpkin respectively before Cook II, under Pumpkin dishes at Farming mastery 2. Do not read a higher-grade crop row as a universal output for every pumpkin.

What the Kitchen Table does

The table catalogue includes 4 Berry + 2 Apple → 3 Berry smoothie (5 with Cook; First snacks; Farming 1) and 3 Beet → 2 Beet slices (3 with Cook; Beet dishes; Farming 2). It also processes fish into fillets, makes fishing bait and upgrades Wine. Unlike the oven, the basic table is listed as a workbench that does not finish work on its own.

For Fisherman's pie inputs, catch Frog and obtain Mysterious fish fillet rather than substituting ordinary river fillets. For quality upgrades, follow the separate Gold Wine route.

Move to Factory Kitchen I only for conveyor production

The Kitchen I record places it in the Factory, worked by zombies on a conveyor. It lists Vegetable Supplies as the construction unlock and 6 Reinforced Plank + 4 Bronze Gear + 4 Bronze Detail as the build materials. This is not the repair recipe for your home kitchen.

  • Supply: Wine: the bronze-input factory row consumes 8 bronze Wine, needs Winemaking and Farming mastery 5, and lists 6 ticks at 2 energy per tick. The catalogue also lists alternative rows using 6 silver Wine or 4 gold Wine for the same supply output. It packages supply; it is not the recipe for upgrading Wine to gold.
  • Preservation: the Sealing Machine extension lists Preservation Supplies and 4 Advanced Detail + 1 Iron Ingot + 2 Wooden Plank.
  • Kitchen II: the catalogue lists one additional recipe, Supply: Preserves II. An upgrade does not mean every missing home dish moves to this station.

Plan input/output space with the factory layout guide; use the orders guide for supply-box delivery rather than treating ordinary cooked food as an order box.

Which food should I make for energy or a writing task?

Choose for the job and the ingredients you already have. The extracted food catalogue gives these base energy values, before Steamed Up. This is a short comparison of sourced recipe options, not a best-food ranking or an energy-per-cost calculation.

  • Baked mushrooms: +27 energy per item. The recipe lists 5 Brown Mushroom and 10 Fuel at the Kitchen Oven, requiring First dishes. Use the oven recipe list above for output quantities; inputs are per craft, energy is per eaten item.
  • Berry smoothie: +25 energy per item. Use 4 Berry and 2 Apple at the Kitchen Table after First snacks. This avoids an oven Fuel requirement, but is not proof that it is the cheapest food in every save.
  • Bread: +18 energy per item. Use 4 Dough and 10 Fuel after the Bread technology. Flour must become Dough first; raw Flour is not the oven input.

Compare the available ingredients, station and recipe preview before committing a batch. These database entries do not establish the best combat food, best sale profit, or a complete comparison of all dishes.

For Stories: prepare Sauerkraut, not just an energy snack

  1. Unlock Cabbage dishes and check the Kitchen Table. The Bowl of sauerkraut record lists 3 Cabbage of any quality, Salt and Seed oil at Kitchen Table or Kitchen Table II. Do not infer gold output merely from using a gold cabbage; inspect the result preview.
  2. Match the food quality to the writing buff. The Book writing spirit records list +1, +2 and +3 Book writing talent for one-, two- and three-star Sauerkraut respectively, each lasting 7:30. These are historical database values, not a current-platform test.
  3. Eat before writing, then inspect the live quality chance. Follow the Gold Story tool and buff checks. Repeated eating, food-plus-prayer stacking and duration extension have not been verified here; do not add bonuses on paper and assume a guaranteed gold result.

For Salt sourcing, use the alchemy material guide. For Prayer for Excellence rather than a food buff, use the prayer selection checklist.

Evidence reviewed October 23, 2026: community extracted-data catalogue, build 4599483364566526977; not independently playtested and not mapped to every current patch. Existing Wikily station recipes above are a separate catalogue, not proof of current runtime behavior.

Cooking troubleshooting

  • No recipe: check the technology named on the recipe, not just whether you repaired a station.
  • Recipe visible but unavailable: compare Farming mastery, exact ingredient form and Fuel. Building 3 applies to the furniture repair, not every cooking operation.
  • Different quantity: compare ingredient quality and Cook/Cook II or Heat Saver effects. The base and perk-adjusted values are separate.
  • Home cooking works, factory does not: inspect the assigned zombie, its recipe mastery, inputs and conveyor output. A self-running home oven does not prove that a factory line has a worker.

Cooking FAQ

How do you unlock the Kitchen Oven?

Wikily lists Repair Oven at the Broken Oven in the Home: 2 Piece of stone and Building mastery 3. Individual dishes also need their own technology unlocks.

Does the Kitchen Oven need a zombie?

It does not need continuous work after a recipe starts: the community station record says it runs on its own, consuming Fuel. The same record also lists zombie-worker support. Factory Kitchen I is a separate conveyor workstation worked by zombies.

Why can I not bake bread?

The listed recipe needs the Bread technology, Farming mastery 2, 4 Dough and 10 Fuel before perk changes. Repairing the oven does not unlock every dish.

Where can I sell Mead?

Check a later-game Bar if it is already available to you. A September 26 player reply confirms selling Mead to a Bar obtained later in the game. That is a player report, not a verified shop-unlock walkthrough.

Open the Bar’s trade interface with your Mead and check whether it offers an actual purchase price. The report does not establish the required shop level, Mead quality, price or daily limit. If the Bar is absent, use your current Town objectives; repeatedly producing Mead is not a demonstrated way to unlock a buyer.

The extracted item record lists Brewery stock sold to the player. That does not prove the Brewery buys your Mead. A separate merchant-tier suggestion is too general to establish the exact buyer or tier.

Reviewed October 20, 2026; player build/platform unspecified. Current shop requirements and sale limits have not been playtested here. For the ingredient side, use honey and beehive checks.
